I find that they are very soft and in so many ways meaningful.
I can relate very well to her work.
And I find it even better that she creates some of it on wood.

I have been lucky enough to purchase the picture above.
This one titled 'Tangled' is 1 of 150 around the world if my memory serves me correct.
I picked an ornate frame to go with it.

So over the weekend I was in Sydney.
The reason for my trip there was to see Slash!
I know what your thinking.
And yes it was the most amazing thing I have ever seen.
Everything about it was fantastic.
The set list was awesome and the band played great.
They also had a special guest. Angry Anderson from Rose Tattoo!

The weather was beautiful over there, specially on the day I arrived.
It was 21 degrees and sunny which made it great when we went straight to the Glebe Markets after landing.

Although it was great to escape the Melbourne weather for a few days, I was reminded how great Melbourne actually is. The night life kicks Sydneys ass so hard!

I had a great time over there but it felt great getting back into Melbourne then heading into the city then Brunswick. Like they say 'home is where the heart is'.

For the past two days I have not left my house.
Reduced myself to laying on the couch eating copious amounts of food.

Way to start getting fit for summer right.

Here's a challenge for anyone reading.
Is it possible to find low carb(or no carbs would be even better) and vegetarian diets?
I find that I tend to eat a lot of carbs after I gave up meat to keep myself full.
I do indeed now look like a loaf of bread.

Bought this yesterday from a store in Williamstown called Back to Basics.
It's pretty much your one stop shop for crystals,stones,incense,spell books, jewelery and more.
I have loved this shop since I was a kid.
I used to buy the spell books and cast spells at home.
I even made my own wand and still have a pentagram on my window to protect me.

Those days are over now but I still have a slight obsession with the things we cannot see, or the things we cannot understand, like our dreams.

So this will make for an interesting read and a constant study.
The next book I want will be on myths and legends. Things of the sort.

I also bought some incense, a chain for my amethyst pendant and put a ring on lay buy.

Holy Shit Balls!
Saturday was amazing fun.. I think!
Any night that involves beer, good bands, good friends, rad music & mo licking good times must be awesome.

The two bands that I went to see were Rock City Riff Raff & Hell City Glamours.

Sadly Hell City Glamours didn't play the song in the clip above, but it is one of my favs.

I am currently planning on changing my bedroom around.
Thinking new bed and wall decor, to finally getting around to buying a shoe rack & cleaning my walls. Not to sure if this sudden idea is due to my mind being scrambled from the weekend but it seems to be one of the best I have had in a while.
Finally received my Dead Weather poster in the mail today which was a little bit exciting.

Oh also I am looking for a new book to read, I am a fan of fiction rather then non fiction. Bio's are also a great read to me. So if anyone has any ideas that would be fantastic...

In recent news, since I last posted I have became a vegetarian!
I was reading a book called Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer, it was very eye opening and a little bit disturbing! But I wont be eating meat again!

I also go tickets to go see Slash in August! Pretty rad! Will be going with my friend Emma!

I totally forgot to post a blog about the Save Live Australian Music rally that was held here in Melbourne.
The reason for this was due to the government's liquor licensing laws that are threatening the existence of live music in Victoria.
I could get into a rant about how ridiculous this is, but we could be here forever.

The rally was led by MC Brian Nankervis on a flatbed track, recreating ACDC's clip for It's A Long Way To The Top which was shot is Melbourne 30 years ago

All in all, it was a great day. According to the Herald Sun Newspaper there were 20,000 people there to support this cause.

I will post up some pictures my friend took when I can get them off her, but these ones are from The Vine.

I truely believe Rock & Roll could save the world!!

1. the sale only applies to where there is signage, advising you about the sale. (eg, these can be on top of racks or on the wall)
2. sale does not apply to stock that is clearly not marked as a sale item.
3. if it is on sale it will be in the designated area and is most cases there is a orange sticker with the newprice, or the new price is written with pen (please note stickers can be various colours)
4. do not ask if you can have something cheaper, we live in australia not thailand or bali. you cannot hagel!
5. obviously brand new season stock is not on sale!
6. i know you think your getting a great bargain for that item of clothing but there is a reason why it is on sale, either because its 3 years old and they couldn't get rid of it back in 2006 or it is from this year but they would like to get rid of it before 2013.
7.it is stupid to go shopping on a day when you know how insane its going to be and then complain about the lines.... its boxing day stupid!

So last night was so amazing.
We didn't do anything out of the ordinary.
The night consisted of going to the Espy for the Dark Horse E.P Launch, then the weekly routine of heading to Cherry and no trashy night is complete without crawling to Pony. We then ended up going back to Sebs to party on.

Here is a list of why I Love Melbourne.

*Whatever food you feel like, its only a short walk away!
*All the stores seem so close to eachother so walking never feels like an effort.
*A tram can take you anywhere you need to go in the city or surrounding city suburbs.
*All the places to drink at!
*Ethnicity (to an extent)
*All the vintage, boutique & commercial stores (oh no not commercial, YES commercial! I won't lie they are ever so handy to me)

Today I walked into the Sportsgirl on Bourke Street and I could have spent a lot of money there if I had it. I spotted a awesome Metallica singlet in the vintage department,rad leather & suede skirt, a tartan blazer and dear god how I love the Tristan Blair shoes they have. Sadly they are wayyyyy out of my price range.
So here is hoping none of these disappear before I get my tax back!
Oh and the awesome ACDC dirty deeds tshirt in Off Ya Tree(despite the trash they sell in there, they always have something I enjoy).

So with all these goodies floating around, it breaks my heart that they are so far out of reach.

I have been stressing out about my outfit for the Click Click reunion, I know its not for 2 weeks but we have sort of built it up to be this amazing night. Oh my!
Me and Emma are silly.

We killed time waiting for Tahnee to get home by taking photos and her doing impressions of me with whatever we could find in my bag!
I only put one up, but there is heaps of funny ones.
I just don't think it's fair if the only photos I have of Emma on my blogs are all of her being stupid.

the reassuring comes
